  • Gods love for us

waterfall God loves us with everything that is and ever will be. He is a forgiving god, a god that will wrap us in his arms of strength and comfort. He is the alpha the omega the begining and the end. We can not but him in a box slap a label on him and put him on a conveyer belt to be processed and shipped out to our churches and homes. He has not limitations, we have them but God does not. Why do we presume to know what God thinks or feels about people we disagree with, or dont like. Or maybe ones we do agree with or like. Can we say what God will accept of what he wont accept for other people. NO, God works in each individual life. So, for all the do gooders out there pointing fingers, take the log out of your own eye before you look at the spec in others eyes. We are not perfect but God is perfect, Lets keep him that way shall we. :)

  • It has been awhile

Well it has been awhile since I wrote anything on this site. I have been through so much this past year I don't even know where to begin. First things first , I moved to Ashland, WI to live with near my  husbands family. For the first time we didn't move because we had too and we didn't have to leave any of our stuff behind or lose anything. We did it right. I needed a change and we thought this would be a good change. Second, I'm enrolled in college. I am going for my bachelors in psychology with and emphasis on behavioral analysis. Its hard but fun and rewarding. Oh , to back track on that one I obviously got my GED. I finished that in September and was enrolled the same month in Kaplan University. I plan on going as far as my doctorate in psychology. I have alot of years ahead of me for that but I have found my passion and what I am meant to do in my life. I have lost thirty pounds and counting lol and I am overall happy. I am truly blessed for many things and reasons and I owe it all to God. The last two years were split between depression over the loss of my son and motivation to get my life in order. With God's help I have made it to where i've wanted to be for years. For the first time in my life I am truly happy.

Now I pray God will send me a child as well , but I know when it is in his plan it will happen. If its not I will have to be ok with that , then maybe ill be adopting who knows. My daughter is doing great my husband is doing great.

We are in a new chapter in our lives and it looks like a good one. Thank the Lord , because without him nothing would have been possible

  • Happy late easter everyone....I havent had the chance to be on here lately. Ive just been so busy. Ive also been dealing with alot of drama with my faimly. I pray the good Lord will give me the streangth to trek forward and look at the light at the end of the tunnel. Im so confused with emotions of hurt and loss and rejection . I want to protect who I love but I have to turn away from some I love to do so. Im a momma bear protecting her cub....bluntly put. Too much to get into if you are curiouse email me and ill talk to you more about it. I sit wondering some days how one day we wake up and the sky is all blue and bright and we have all the hope for a tomorrow and then some days we awake and the sky is dark and grey and we see a thunderstorm in the distance ready to disrupt our path our sunshine. Why do somethings happen so quickly with a blink of an eye a word a glance.  I really don;t know but my heart is heavy and i fell as if im not accepted or understood or cared for. The lord is my only refuge and he keeps me going , I pray he shows me understanding as to why things have to happen and a peacefull approach to such.

  • Hello to all again. I haven't written anything in awhile and i felt tonight i would write a little something.

I just got over a double ear infection , lost my hearing , regained my hearing and took a huge dose of antibiotics. I'm all better now.

You know something that has been on my mind lately is a subject of belief and religion and God. Always a touchy subject with some and some a chance to argue and some a chance to agree some a chance to lead into a closer walk with God. Why is it that some think they are always right. You know how many think they are the only ones right out there. The ones who think they have to correct other people because they are wrong in there eyes. Its one thing to technically tell someone hey that verse was so and so , or that they cant murder and then repent then think they can murder again.......thats common sense.  Why is it petty things that get other christians in a huff. Things i would think to be neither here nor there. We live in a whole world of all walks of people from different cultures and different regions. God occupies all of them. So one might not eat pork on friday is he or she wrong , or is the one who does eat it wrong. Or how bout the one who wears a head covering or one who doesn't who deems who's right or wrong. Yes yes we say the bible, but come on even that is twisted and turned to fit and suite whoever is reading it exspecially if there heart isn't right with Jesus and God , cause then they mean anything. Even if your heart is right who's to say that aside form the majors and the basics and common law that all the little things are just that do or don't . I think judging who does or doesn't do something is the bigger fault of the latter don't you think.  We presume as christians that because we live or talk or walk a way we are accustomed too or that God showed us in our heart that all others who don't are not right with GOD or need to be corrected. I bring this up because i am so sick of organized religion..........religion come on all i think as say to people is I love God he loves you and you can walk with him too . Why is it not that simple that i still don't understand. When i read the new testament during Jesus and his time i feel he is so calm and full of love no matter who you are or what your doing he was patient and led people into true faith and following there hearts and being obedient to God not the church. How all the people who didn't have a set way of things followed  him accepted him loved him , and those who had a set way crucified him. When i look at that when i read that my heart hurts i weep because jesus did show us how simple it all really is its not complicated at all and i wish people would quit trying to make it so.

    Just my thoughts lately

  • Life is a series of events that make up a part of you. We have the choices to choose what we want and I think the harder part is makeing the right choices. How hard is it to make a bad choice.....hmmmmmmmm ...........There are ups and downs and spirals and loop de loops and things i still cant even put a finger on yet .  Im sure tha t at some point its going to get harder as more decisons are made .  Times are changeing , everything is changeing all around you .  I feel like im in one of those revolveing doors going round and round , you wait for the opening and boom you miss or score you get it and your out untill the next one comes and you have to hit or miss all over again. I kind of think of God as the center the revolveing door the rock the stability of the foundation.  Without him there would be no life no stability no choices to make because all choices would be bad ones leading to disaster and pain ...very few good choices.  Yet as God is the center the source we still make our decisons we decide to love him we decide to accept all the wonderfull things he had to offer. Just something that came into my head , im faceing a good and rough patch right now and the Lord is holding me above sealevel so any prayer would help . I need the wisdom and guidance to sort through the times im faced with, and to note even good things that happen i find myself in aww at how or why people do what they do . One of those things i guess

To Tell You The Whole Truth
    about the Church
    and
    the Holy Bible

The Bible: Important Translations of the Bible

    Septuagint and Catholic Bible

The Septuagint (which comes from the Latin for 70, "septuaginta") was a translation of the Hebrew Books of the Old Testament into Greek, by 70 Jewish scholars. The translation became necessary when it was found that most of the Israelites in exile, especially as a result of the Babylonian Captivity of 586-536 B.C., did not know Hebrew, but wanted to read the sacred books. The work was done in Alexandria, Egypt, sometime between 250 B.C. and 100 B.C.. This translation was warmly welcomed by Jews outside Palestine, as was read by many Gentiles. Consequently, many Gentiles were familiar with the important ideas in the Old Testament and were thus prepared to hear and accept the teachings of Jesus Christ.

In the early Church no list of inspired books had been accepted or approved. Christ, and then the Apostles, did not give us a list of books which were inspired. However, the Septuagint was extremely influential among Jews living outside Palestine (and some inside Palestine), and was the sacred writings adopted by the early Greek-speaking Christians. Throughout the New Testament there are more than 300 direct quotations or paraphrases from the Septuagint Bible out of some 350 Old Testament references. Scholars regard this as an indication that the Catholic Christian writers of the Apostolic Era had adopted the Septuagint as their own. The Christians took the Septuagint over so completely that the Jews decided to adopt their own version. This was done about 90 A.D.. The Council of Hippo (393), the Council of Carthage (397), and Pope Innocent I (405) listed the 46 books of the Septuagint as inspired. The Catholic, Greek, Russian and other Orthodox Old Testaments are based on the Septuagint.

    Vulgate

The Vulgate is the Latin version of the Bible prepared by St. Jerome (382-404), at the request of Pope St. Damasus I. He translated the Old Testament directly from the original Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek, and revised the existing Latin text of the New Testament. "Vulgate" means "common" or "popular", since Latin was the popular language in Europe at the time. This translation was done in a language they could understand. Very few knew how to read. The Vulgate was used through the centuries and was declared the official Latin text of the Bible for Catholics by the Council of Trent (1545-63). It was from the Vulgate that almost all English Catholic translations were made until the middle of the 20th century, when scholars began to use original sources. It remained the official Latin text of the Bible for the Catholic Church until Pope John Paul II replaced it with the New Vulgate in 1979.

Catholic Christians and non-Catholic Christians believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God. This belief is based on their acceptance of the fact that the Catholic Church had the authority to declare which books were inspired and should be included in the list of sacred books or "Canon", and which should not be included.

The Catholic Church knew it had this authority and guidance because:

    1. "And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever - the Spirit of truth" (John 14:16-17)
    2. "However, when He, the Spirit of Truth, as come, He will guide you into all truth" (John 16:13)
    3. "... I am with you always, even to the end of the age" (Matthew 28:20)
    4. "Whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven" (Matthew 16:19)
    5. "... it has now been revealed by the Spirit to His holy apostles and prophets" (Ephesians 3:5)
    6. "... the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth" (1 Timothy 3:15)
For more than 1500 years the Catholic Church has accepted and taught that these 73 books of the Bible are inspired and make up the list of sacred books. Jesus gave His Apostles and Church the gift of the Holy Spirit when He said. "... 'Receive the Holy Spirit.'" (John 20:22). Jesus also said, "However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth" (John 16:13). It is impossible that the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth, would lead the Church in an error for 1900 years. Such a promise was made to the Church alone. Martin Luther decided to reject that and to accept the Hebrew Bible since it did not have the 2nd Book of Maccabees which says, "It is a holy and wholesome thought to pray for the dead that they may be loosed from their sin." (2 Maccabees 12:46 NAB). Luther did not agree with praying for the dead. He did not accept seven books of the Old Testament, and also did not accept these New Testament books: Hebrews, 2 John, 3 John, James, Jude, 2 Peter and Revelation. These books contained teachings which did not agree with his teaching. By the year 1700, however, Lutheran scholars had restored these books to the New Testament. We must remember that Jesus promised that His Spirit would be with His Church (John 14:11-12) and that the Spirit of Truth would guide the Church into all truth (John 16:13). Paul said, "... which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth" (1 Timothy 3:15). So the Spirit of Truth guides the Church in all truth, not an individual person.

    Hebrew Scriptures and Protestant Bible

Jewish scholars set up four criteria which sacred books had to pass in order to be in the Jewish canon (official list of sacred writings):

    1. They had to be in harmony with the Pentateuch (first five books of the Bible).
    2. They had to have been written before the time of Nehemiah (c.400 B.C.).
    3. They had to have been written in Hebrew.
    4. They had to have been written in Palestine.
These criteria excluded the seven books which are not in the Hebrew canon or Protestant Old Testament of today. These books are Judith, Tobit, 1st Maccabees, 2nd Maccabees, Wisdom, Ecclesiasticus (Sirach), and Baruch. (Taking the first letter of each book, we have the name J.T. MacWeb - an easy way to remember them.)

The Protestant Old Testament is the same as the Hebrew canon, and their New Testament is the same as the Catholic New Testament. Most Protestant Bibles, while not accepting those seven books as inspired, are now including them at the end of the Old Testament, as did the 1611 King James Version (Authorized Version).

    1611King James Bible (Authorized Version)
King James I appointed 54 of the best scholars in England to revise the Bishop's Bible. It took them seven years. The authorities authorized this translation which had enormous influence on the minds of people, and on English literature. The New Testament in the King James translation was taken, with few exceptions, from the Catholic Douay Rheims translation, which was completed 29 years previously. Like all translations, the King James translation had errors in it. In the last century, Protestant Scripture scholars met to come up with a better translation because there were several thousand errors in the existing King James translation.

    THE CATHOLIC CHURCH HAS:

    1. Written the New Testament.
    2. Decided which books went into the Bible, i.e., decided what books are inspired and should make up the "Canon" of scripture.
    3. Compiled those books into a collection which it named the "Bible."
    4. Preserved the Bible, for the first 1500 years by hand writing each book over and over again on fresh papyrus, or on fresh skins of animals.
    5. Preserved the Bible from destruction.
    6. Preserved the Bible from error.
    7. Defended the Bible through the last 1900 years.
    8. Grounded her doctrines upon the Bible.
    9. Held the Bible in highest veneration.
    10. Interpreted the Bible for Her people.
    11. The right to call the Bible Her Book.

"I would not believe the Gospel
    unless moved thereto by the
    authority of the Church."

About Me

  • To live life without love is to not live your life at all. God loves us and we should give that love as well as accept that love. The world is not perfect , im not perfect and i gave up trying to be a perfect person. I am who I am and I have God to thank for alot of strength and the love through out the years . He has given me the ability to show that love to other people. I love to live life to the fullest, by that i mean enjoy what God brings me everyday and praise him and be gratefull. Thats not always easy to do but i do it. I try to share that idea with other people because when the world gets you down and you feel all alone God is there . Just look around you see him everywhere and in everything how ...beautifull our world really is. It keeps me sane. Its better than being depressed and sad about the bad things in our world. We cannot change them but we can influence them with the teaching from God. To live a life of love is better to live a life without it. That is my fav
